Package Itinerary

Day 1: Chennai

Pick up from Chennai airport/railway station and check into the hotel. Today proceed for a sightseeing of Chennai. Visit  Kapalessshwara temple, Sri Parthasarathy Temple, St. Thomas mount – a church build on the hill top, Guindy park, Anna Memorial, San Thoma Basilica,  the National Art Gallery. Return back to hotel and overnight stay at hotel.

Day 02: Chennai – Tiruthani- Chennai

Today drive to Tiruthani. Visit the the beautiful temple of Lord Muruga which crowns a single rock of 700 feet above from the sea level. It is situated amidst a range of hills with a dramatic panoramic view . After the Darshan of Lord Thanikachalam  drive back to Chennai . Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 03: Chennai- Swamimalai - Tanjore

Today proceed to Swamimalai. Visit Swami Malai Murugan temple – one of the six abodes of Lord Murugan.Then drive to Tanjore and check into the hotel . Thereafter proceed to visit Brihandeswara’- 1000+ years old shrine, built by the esteemed Chola emperor Rajaraja and a fine masterpiece of Chola-styled architecture. Later, visit Thanjavur Palace, Royal Museum and Art Gallery. Return back to hotel and overnight stay at hotel.

Day 04: Tanjore – Thirchendur/ Tirunelveli

Check out from the hotel and proceed to Thirchendur. Visit Tiruchendur Murugan temple- one of the foremost spiritual centres dedicated to Lord Muruga. With its lofty tower of about 140 feet, it has a holy past dating back to 2,000 years. Thiruchendur is said to be second in importance among his six abodes. After the darshan, return back to hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 05: Thirchendur- Madurai

Today drive to Madurai- an extremely sacred city. Enroute visit the Tiruparankundram temple- a cave temple dedicated to the element of earth. It is one among Arupadai Veedu . Check-into the hotel at Madurai and in the afternoon visit the Palamudircholai Murugan temple and then continue to visit Meenakshi amman temple- one of the biggest temples in India. Visit the temple complex with 12 gopurams, The thousand pillared hall, The musical granite pillars which produce different musical notes.   Watch the light and sound show and return back to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 06: Madurai - Palani

Today proceed to Palani. Visit Andavar temple. The idol of Palani Andavar is said to have been made of Navapashanam (a combination of Veeram, Pooram, Rasam, Jathilingam, Kandagam, Gauri Pasanam, Vellai Pasanam, Mridharsingh, Silasat), by a siddhar called Bhogar. It is also claimed by many that the materials of abhishegam like milk, sandalpaste, etc., attain medicinal properties on being poured over Lord Palaniandavars idol and they have cured many diseases, when taken by the patients. Visit hill temple, Bhogar Samadhi, | Tiru Avinankudi , Periyanayaki Amman, Shanmuga Nadi . Return back to hotel and overnight stay at the hotel. 

Day 7: Leave Palani

Check out from the hotel and proceed to Chennai airport/railway station for your onward journey.
